What an excuse to leave the housework, garden, painting and whatever else needs doing and read a story. I was so annoyed to have to go out several times during the reading and would have finished it in one sitting if not for this, the story line just pulled me in and didn’t want to take a break even for nature. This is a story of the paranormal, if you are a fan of The Good Doctor you will understand how the heroine Evanee as a reaper views the souls of those who have died. She is a character that grabs you by the throat and makes you want to wreak revenge on all men who violate women, her unique way of dealing with an assault will have us all wishing it was possible to have this power. Evanee while only just learning of her skills has always known she was different and she evolves into someone entirely different as you read through this book and understand her basic need to punish evil and reward those with a good soul. The descriptions used in this book and the fact it is set in Australia make it all the more exciting for me and I hope that other readers agree.
